Job Summary / Description:
The Manager, Revenue Accounting is responsible for overseeing all revenue-related financial activities, ensuring proper ASC 606 compliance, accurate close processes, and timely reporting. This role partners with Finance Operations and Billing teams to resolve discrepancies, supports audits, and leads initiatives to streamline revenue accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Review customer contracts and order forms to determine appropriate ASC 606 revenue recognition.
Drive monthly and quarterly revenue close, including journal entries, allocations, deferrals, reconciliations, and flux analyses.
Collaborate with Finance Operations and Billing teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate invoicing and reporting.
Oversee accurate commission calculations and reporting.
Support external financial audits by preparing PBC schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
Lead process improvement, automation, and system implementation initiatives to scale revenue operations.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in revenue accounting, preferably in high-growth technology or SaaS companies.
Minimum of 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
Deep knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition, including usage-based contracts.
Proficient with revenue systems such as Workday Financials, NetSuite ARM, or Zuora Revenue.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
