Location: Tifton, Georgia
Work Arrangement: 100% In-Office
Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000

Responsibilities:

Conduct moderately complex cost audits, preparing and analyzing detailed cost reports.
Maintain and reconcile complex ledgers, analyze specific cost account ledgers, and prepare intricate journal entries.
Prepare a variety of reports to maintain and analyze the cost accounting system, ensuring proper allocation of costs.
Research and compile historical cost data to prepare reports and analysis on material purchases, labor, equipment, depreciation, repairs, operating expenses, overhead, and similar activities.
Analyze unit costs and project future expenses through comprehensive report preparation.
Assist in the development and implementation of new and revised cost accounting systems, procedures, and controls.
Analyze operating costs to determine variances and identify their causes.
Oversee the preparation of various records and reports compiled by lower-level accounting personnel.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 2 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with cost control systems and related cost accounting functions, including the preparation of strategic recommendations to management.
Proficiency in Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP).
Working knowledge of ERP systems required, with preference for SAP modules FI (Financial Accounting) and CO (Controlling).
