Position Overview:
The Audit Senior plays a key leadership role on engagement teams by developing audit approaches, overseeing staff, reviewing complex transactions, preparing or reviewing financial statements, and ensuring efficient and accurate audit execution. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys guiding others, solving technical challenges, and delivering top-tier client service within a collaborative and fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Discuss engagement efficiencies and client-specific risks to help shape the audit plan.
- Develop audit approaches and methodologies for engagement teams.
- Instruct, supervise, and support audit staff throughout engagements.
- Expand technical knowledge through review of complex accounting transactions.
- Prepare and/or review financial statements and related disclosures.
- Complete general audit procedures, including managing closing communications, drafting correspondence, and resolving outstanding items.
- Research technical issues using online accounting and auditing tools.
- Assist with additional engagement tasks as assigned by supervisory personnel.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of public accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting (Master’s preferred).
- CPA certification or active pursuit of licensure.
- Experience with Engagement software is a plus.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Acquisition accounting experience is a plus.
- Strong sense of urgency, integrity, and commitment to superior client service.
