Role Overview
As a Maintenance Controller, you are responsible for ensuring aircraft within the operated fleet are maintained in compliance with all regulatory requirements. Acting as a delegate of the Director of Maintenance (DOM), you will monitor aircraft status, oversee maintenance events, coordinate vendors, and ensure proper documentation before return-to-service approval.
Key Responsibilities
Execute designated functions of the Director of Maintenance (DOM)
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Monitor out-of-service aircraft and ensure timely repairs
Assign and oversee maintenance personnel and vendors
Create work packages for scheduled, unscheduled, and line maintenance
Coordinate and document maintenance events
Communicate aircraft status to impacted departments
Review aircraft records and maintenance tracking systems
Ensure proper documentation prior to return-to-service approval
Coordinate timely procurement and shipment of required aircraft parts
Collaborate with Maintenance Leadership, Flight Operations, and vendors
Qualifications
Valid and current Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Part 121, 135, or 91 operations
Strong regulatory knowledge and compliance focus
Excellent coordination and communication skills
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
On-site role in Chamblee, GA
Ability to sit for extended periods
