Financial Controller - Post-Merger Integration (PE Firm)

Are you ready to make an impact in a fast-paced private equity (PE) environment? We’re seeking a Financial Controller with strong financial systems expertise to lead the post-merger integration process. This role is crucial in bringing together financial operations across multiple entities and ensuring a seamless transition. You’ll be responsible for integrating systems, streamlining financial reporting, and supporting strategic growth as the company expands through mergers and acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Post-Merger Integration: Lead financial integration efforts for newly acquired companies, ensuring smooth consolidation of financial systems and processes.
  • Systems Implementation: Oversee the selection, implementation, and optimization of financial software systems to unify and support business operations.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements post-integration.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and manage financial budgets and forecasts for newly integrated entities, aligning them with the overall business strategy.
  • Internal Controls & Risk Management: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with accounting regulations during the integration process.
  • Tax Compliance & Cash Flow Management: Manage tax planning and compliance for merged entities, monitor cash flow, and ensure adequate liquidity across all companies.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, preferably in a PE or M&A environment
  • Proven track record in financial systems integration post-merger or acquisition
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Sage
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
