Position Overview:
The Property Accountant will be responsible for managing accounting records, preparing financial analyses, and supporting reporting for a portfolio of real estate assets. This role requires treasury management, reconciliations, AP/AR oversight, and close collaboration with vendors, clients, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform treasury functions including cash transfers and wire approvals.

  • Maintain accounting records for multiple properties.

  • Oversee AP/AR functions and ensure accuracy of transactions.

  • Prepare financial analyses including margins, receivables, and payables.

  • Assist with monthly financial reports, investor reporting, and management reporting.

  • Record transactions, reconcile balance sheets, and perform bank reconciliations.

  • Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes.

  • Analyze spreadsheets and provide reporting insights.

  • Contribute ideas to improve efficiency and streamline processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 2–3 years of accounting experience required.

  • CPA preferred but not required.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; exposure to QuickBooks, Rent Manager, or Yardi a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, accuracy, and accountability.

  • Ability to manage large data volumes and changing priorities.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
