Financial Controller – Logistics & Data Analytics Focus - Mooresville, NC

$150,000 – $200,000 base salary

About the Role

We are seeking a Financial Controller with a strong background in logistics, supply chain, and data analytics to oversee the financial health and operational efficiency of a rapidly growing manufacturing and distribution organization in the Mooresville area. This is a key leadership role that will partner closely with operations, logistics, and executive management to drive data-informed decisions and strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations including GL, AR/AP, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Lead monthly close, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Partner with logistics and operations teams to analyze costs, inventory, and supply chain efficiency.
• Develop and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and predictive analytics models to support decision-making.
• Implement financial controls and process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare financial statements in compliance with GAAP and internal reporting standards.
• Lead and mentor accounting and finance staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership in manufacturing or logistics-driven environments.
• Strong proficiency in data analytics tools (Power BI, SQL, or Tableau) and ERP systems.
• Demonstrated success in improving financial processes, controls, and operational alignment.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
