Position Overview:
We are seeking a Tax Partner to lead and grow the Boston Tax practice, overseeing teams focused on tax compliance and tax provision outsourcing for middle-market and private equity–backed companies. This highly visible role requires strong technical expertise, exceptional leadership, and a demonstrated ability to expand market presence through business development and strategic relationship building.
Key Responsibilities:
● Lead tax teams delivering compliance, provision outsourcing, and consulting services to middle-market clients.
● Serve as a trusted advisor by providing high-quality technical and strategic tax guidance.
● Coach, mentor, and develop managers and staff to strengthen technical capabilities and team performance.
● Drive growth through business development, networking, and expansion of services to existing clients.
● Collaborate with partners and firm leaders to strengthen service offerings and support firm-wide initiatives.
● Engage with clients across industries such as Technology, Private Equity, and other middle-market sectors.
● Provide oversight on federal (ASC 740), multi-state, and international tax engagements.
Qualifications:
● Active CPA license required.
● Significant business tax experience with a large local, regional, or national public accounting firm.
● Expertise in federal (ASC 740), multi-state, and international tax compliance and consulting.
● Experience with Technology or Private Equity/VC clients is a plus.
● Proven track record of driving growth and expanding a practice, service line, or office.
● Exceptional interpersonal and client relationship skills.
● Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated staff development success.
● Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
