Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of construction processes. This role requires a proactive individual capable of handling multiple projects and delivering accurate cost estimates to support our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to create comprehensive estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to understand project scope and conditions.
  • Identify and evaluate potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, pricing, and industry standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and contract negotiations.
  • Provide support during the project execution phase to ensure cost control and adherence to budgets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Commercial Construction Estimator, preferably in the Atlanta area.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes.
  • Proficient in estimating software and tools, such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
