Who: CPA-qualified accounting professional with 6+ years of manufacturing experience; MBA a plus.

What: Lead all accounting operations including financial reporting, GAAP compliance, internal controls, cash flow management, and team development.

When: Full-Time, Onsite.

Where: North Augusta, South Carolina (relocation assistance available).

Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 annually plus bonus, commensurate with experience/education.

Role Overview

The Controller will manage and oversee the accounting function for the manufacturing site, ensuring accurate financial reporting, GAAP compliance, and effective internal controls. This position will also support audits, prepare key financial analyses, and lead a small team of accounting professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor cash flow and oversee cash collections

• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes

• Oversee daily accounting operations (AP, AR, etc.)

• Prepare monthly financial statements with variance analysis

• Ensure compliance with GAAP

• Review and approve journal entries as needed

• Prepare financial reports for the Board and banks

• Support annual financial audits and tax returns

• Ensure ledger accuracy and proper documentation of manual entries

• Manage, coach, and develop accounting team members

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA a plus

• CPA required (or ability to earn within first year)

• 6+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing

• SAP experience preferred

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
