Job Description:
The Senior Property Accountant manages financial accounting for multiple properties, including reporting, CAM reconciliations, budgeting, and journal entries.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee accounting functions for a portfolio of 20+ properties.
Review financial statements for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports for multiple properties.
Perform CAM reconciliations and manage monthly accruals.
Prepare journal entries and assist with lease interpretation for reporting compliance.
Analyze variances between actuals and budgets, providing actionable insights.
Assist with preparation and monitoring of annual property budgets.
Qualifications:
5+ years of full-cycle property accounting experience, preferably handling 10+ properties.
Experience with Yardi Voyager strongly preferred.
Proficient in accrual accounting, journal entries, variance analysis, and budgeting.
Commercial property experience and CAM reconciliation experience preferred.
Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
