Position Overview:
The Tax Manager – S-Corporation Specialist oversees complex tax engagements, ensures accuracy in tax filings, manages staff and workflow, researches tax issues, and supports both client satisfaction and internal team development while maintaining confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review and sign off on complex S-corporation federal and state tax returns to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with current tax laws.
- Provide final technical review on tax returns and related documents across the client base.
- Research tax issues and recommend resolutions.
- Stay current on tax law changes and accounting procedure updates.
- Plan, schedule, coordinate, and manage client engagements to meet all deadlines.
- Communicate directly with clients to support their best interests and deliver high-quality service.
- Direct and support staff and supervisors by setting expectations, providing resources, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Monitor the quality of completed work and the performance of personnel.
- Assign, track, and manage tasks and projects delegated to staff and supervisors.
- Play an active role in developing and mentoring team members.
- Build and nurture internal and external networks to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Manage billing, collections, WIP monitoring, aging, and write-downs.
- Participate in internal CPE and training sessions.

Qualifications:
- CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of five years of public accounting experience.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide teams effectively.
- Strong decision-making abilities and initiative.
- Ability to remain calm and productive under pressure.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize a heavy workload.
