Who:
An experienced Accounting Manager with a minimum of five years in full-cycle accounting, ideally within a manufacturing or distribution environment. This role requires an individual who is well-versed in accounting principles and skilled in using SAP for financial management. A CPA or similar designation is preferred.
What:
Under the guidance of the Controller, the Accounting Manager will oversee and coordinate daily operations within the accounting department, covering accounts payable, cash management, inventory, general ledger, government reporting, and monthly financial reporting. This role will provide leadership to a team of 3-4 professionals and drive best practices to enhance the accounting function’s efficiency and accuracy. The position will manage various projects, including process improvements and systems-based enhancements, and support internal stakeholders and the parent company.

Position Overview:
As the Accounting Manager, you will lead the accounting team to meet departmental objectives, including month-end close, financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement initiatives. You will collaborate cross-functionally to deliver valuable financial insights and maintain high standards for financial accuracy and transparency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and support a team of 3-4 accounting professionals.
- Oversee general accounting operations, including month-end close and journal entry reviews, and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Facilitate and manage department performance, setting objectives and preparing annual performance reviews.
- Drive the development and implementation of new policies and procedures to optimize workflows.
- Perform sales and use tax calculations and reporting.
- Support statutory and management reporting, account reconciliation guidance, and month-end flash reporting.
- Collaborate on annual budgeting and forecasting processes and provide audit deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required), CPA or similar designation preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting, ideally in manufacturing/distribution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong SAP experience (recent use required).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and multitasking abilities.
